And I lied about this diet blowing. It doesn't. It's been amazing. That silvery metal thing on my finger below the muffin is my wedding band that I haven't worn for almost a year because it got too loose. I finally had it resized recently from a 9 to a 7.5!
Salmon burger

Ahi tuna ceviche made with lemon juice and coconut milk
Glenn's Diner brunch.

Coffee x 2

Seafood salad (can't see it, but loaded with shrimp, crab, trout under the leaves)

Cioppino

And this is a picture of the bread I DIDN'T eat!

This diet blows.

Dinner at Melanthios. Best Greek in the city, I'm pretty sure.

Diet coke.

Octopus

Gyros platter. Ate 2 pinches off the pita bread. It was a struggle to not eat more, but I'm considering that mostly a win. Ate only half the platter. Also had few pieces of Donna's chicken souvlaki.

The potato side alternative was green beans. Not paleo, but much better for my weight loss.

Diet coke 2.

Only half
Grassfed pot roast and roasted root veggies.

I roasted a bunch of root veggies to do a taste test. Daikon radish, parsnips, sunchokes, celery root, rutabaga, and jicama. Celery root tasted most like a potato, followed by sunchoke then rutabaga. Jicama was the worst tasting. Don't think they take well to roasting. The other two pretty much tasted like cooked versions of their raw selves - roasting did not improve or worsen them from raw. Didn't get to try regular red radishes.

Scrambled eggs/destroyed omelette.

Salad with some raisins and crisped up lamb italian sausage thrown in.
Coconut/almond/blueberry pancakes and lamb Italian sausage. A nice 1000+ calorie breakfast to start the day.

Root vegetable puree experiment day 3: Cauliflower

Paleo grassfed sloppy joe on cauliflower puree. I know it's not a root. Whatever. Best puree so far. Texture, taste, and color are the most potato worthy. Ridiculously expensive right now though.
If our sectionals athletes are gearing up by doing 2 a days to train their body to perform in the mornings, then the least I can do as a spectator is to do 2 a days to train myself to watch in the mornings.

Also, tried frying with Vaseline (er, coconut oil) for the first time today. Not bad!
